What you actually get back

A real cover letter Covyo generated from a real Anthropic JD, paired with the prompt that produced it. No template, no "passionate about," no "I am writing to express my interest."

Job descriptioninput
Anthropic is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with select Fortune 500 customers, build internal tooling on Claude, and help them ship AI features in production. You'll travel monthly, write code in TypeScript and Python, and translate fuzzy business asks into shippable demos.

Dear Anthropic team, A Fortune 500 wealth desk I worked with had a $40M annual portfolio rebalance run by spreadsheet. The bottleneck was ten analysts updating tabs at 2am every quarter; one bad cell and the run silently drifted. I prototyped a Claude-driven runbook in three weeks: the model parses the analysts' Slack threads, drafts the next rebalance, and writes a one-page diff a partner approves before it ships. Run time dropped from 36 hours to 90 minutes. That's the kind of thing your Forward Deployed Engineer JD describes — I want to do it for the next ten companies on your list. I've spent the last three years bouncing between very different rooms: a London hedge fund where I rewrote the trade-reconciliation pipeline, a Berlin healthtech building Claude-powered triage for ED nurses, and a six-month stint at a YC company where I shipped the entire onboarding flow alone in TypeScript. Across all of it the same thing made the work move: showing up in the customer's stack, finding the one workflow they hate, and giving them a working version Friday afternoon. Demos > decks. Three reasons Anthropic specifically: I've been writing production code on top of Claude since the 2.0 days and the prompt-caching API is the first inference primitive that actually changes how I architect agents. I've reviewed every system card you've published and the one for Sonnet 4.6 changed how I think about the speed/quality trade in agentic loops. And the customers in your FDE pipeline are the exact mid-large enterprises where I've already learned what their security review looks like, what their procurement cycle is, and how their CTOs actually decide. I'd be useful in week one and a force multiplier by month three. Happy to send code samples, walk through the rebalancer, or jump on a call. Best, Daníel Vestfjörð Óskarsson

Five surfaces, one job search

Each one does one thing well. Use the ones you need; skip the ones you don't.

Studio

Paste a JD. Hit draft. Read your letter ten seconds later.

The main surface. Paste any job description, optionally pick or override the writing angle (Builder, Operator, Thesis, Outsider, Craftsperson, Contrarian), and Covyo writes a tailored cover letter from your dossier. Auto-picks the right angle as you type. You can refine the draft up to 3 times for free — no monthly-letter cost.

Jobs

Roles surfaced for you, ranked by fit.

We pull listings from Adzuna (no scraping, no LinkedIn bans) and score them against your roles and dossier. Filter by remote, sponsorship, internship-only, salary. Click any job → it lands in Studio with the JD pre-filled and the angle inferred.

Tracker

Kanban pipeline for every application.

Every letter you generate auto-creates a tracked application — Drafted → Applied → Phone screen → Interview → Offer / Rejected. Drag cards forward. Stale-application nudges go out by email if a card sits too long. Streaks count only forward moves, not letters drafted, so the leaderboard rewards outcomes not volume.

Resume

Generate or improve a resume from your dossier.

Two paths: generate from scratch for a target role, or improve your existing parsed resume. ATS-clean 1-pager in plain text. Edits autosave; PDF download stays a click away.

Interviews

Practice questions and feedback per role.

Pick an application in Interview stage → Covyo generates role-specific questions from the JD and runs a mock interview chat. Optional voice input on supported browsers. Sessions are saved so you can review.

What shapes the output

Your dossier

Résumé + LinkedIn + free-form notes you save on Settings. Covyo only pulls from what you actually wrote — if it's not in your dossier, it doesn't show up in the letter. Thin source material? We'd rather shorten the letter than invent a club to fill space.

Voice rules

Forbidden phrases ("passionate about," "leverage," etc.), banned characters, required anchors, and the target word count are enforced programmatically after every draft — not as soft guidelines for the model. A second AI pass critiques tone and JD-fit and flags anything off.

What Covyo won't do

We'd rather be useful at one job than mediocre at ten. The things we explicitly don't do are deliberate — most of them break trust faster than they help.

  • Mass-apply
We'll never submit applications on your behalf. Better letters, not more.
  • Scrape LinkedIn or Indeed
Account-ban risk for you, ToS-broken for us. We use Adzuna's official API.
  • Invent facts about you
If your résumé doesn't mention it, the letter doesn't either. We shorten before we fabricate.
  • Guarantee interviews
Cover letters help, but the job is yours to land. We just take the busywork off the table.
  • Train AI models on your data
Your résumé, letters, and chats stay yours. See the privacy policy for the boring details.
